South Hill Bungalow: The Gates Outdoor Room was a collaboration between our designers and carpenters, who met with the homeowner to help her design and construct an outdoor room where she could relax or entertain while still being protected from the elements. The design needed to be sensitive to not only the size restrictions of the intended space, but the architectural elements of the already existing house and free-standing office-space that had been previously constructed. The construction of the structure required the expertise of our carpenters to ensure that it would not only function as intended, but would be sturdy enough to provide a lifetime's worth of enjoyment. Along with the inspired design touches provided by the owner by way of furnishings, décor and additional plantings, the final result was an amazingly inviting space that fits perfectly with the existing architecture and looks as if it's always been a part of the home's landscape.

Forest Ridge Playhouse: This was a very unique project in that it is a new community park inside an established Spokane neighborhood and was very organic in the way that it was built. It was a design build approach in which the design largely happened as it was being built. We recycled material from on site or off site sources; everything from tree stumps to recycled concrete and incorporated these materials into many of the features. Much of the park was left in its natural state so it made sense to incorporate on-site materials to seamlessly blend nature with some of the bright colored features the park is made of.
