CSGI receives National Environmental Improvement Award

Clearwater Summit Group is proud to announce it has been awarded a Grand Award for the Landscape Design and Build of the Hemmings Residence in the 38th Annual Environmental Improvement Awards Program sponsored by the Professional Landscape Network (PLANET).

The most eye catching attraction of the Hemmings Residence landscape is the water feature that starts at the driveway and winds its way down to the lower flagstone patio. The design was meant to create a whimsical rendition of a waterfall that one might find in a pristine and protected wilderness. The plant material and stone steps compliment the overall landscape and provide a deeply attractive view from Hayden Lake.

Clearwater Summit Group, Inc. is a full service landscape design, build, and maintenance company. It is a merged corporation between Summit Landscape Construction and Clearwater Landscape. Ty Ullman founded Clearwater Landscape, specializing in residential landscape design/build, in 1996 and Summit, which was started in 1983 by Tim Sweet, focused its efforts on the commercial landscape construction market. In April of 2000 the two companies came together to form Clearwater Summit Group, Inc. and haven’t looked back. The union has proven extremely successful with the company showing growth each year since merging in 2000.

PLANET’s Environmental Improvement Awards Program reflects the association’s commitment to creating and preserving the beauty of our landscape. The program is designed to reward independent landscape, lawn care, and interior plantscaping professionals who execute superior projects. PLANET strives to increase public awareness of environmental improvement through contracted landscaping, lawn care, and interior plantscaping and encourages the consistent use of quality materials and workmanship.

Of the 164 projects entered in the awards program, 111 were recognized with an award. The awards breakdown includes 2 Decade Awards, 30 Grand Awards, 45 Merit Awards, and 34 Distinction Awards.
